Partners

The project distinguishes two kinds of partners: on the one hand, there are partner institutions with which we cooperate on a national level. They support the project through consultancy, connection to the administration, and practical support from a distance, and they connect the project to the government. Most bilateral GTZ projects even have their offices in the respective partner ministries. As MIDEO is a co-financed project, our situation is different. As partner institutions we have appointed the “Agence de l’Oriental” and the “Fondation Hassan II” because their objectives (development of the Oriental region and support of Moroccans living abroad) relate to those of MIDEO.

Mediating partners, on the other hand, are institutions in the project’s region which create the link to different target groups: small and medium enterprises and industries of this region, Moroccans living abroad and their organizational structures, investors, entrepreneurs, different chambers (of commerce, agriculture, artisanry, fishing), regional investment centres, the provincial government, the “Wilaya” (a regional administrative unit), the delegations and departments of the region, other organisations concerned with Moroccans living abroad or with employment (e.g. ANAPEC, the employment office), branch-wise associations of the private economy, etc. You can find the project’s joint activities with such partners under MIDEO - activities
